During a stroll around Laurel's historic district recently, a few of the homes caught my eye but especially 420 Main Street with its stone work along the front porch, lanterns and trim work, and that fabulous window with some stained glass detail. 420 Main Street is a center hall colonial built in 1870. MMM! For this month's marketing meeting, we didn't stay as local as we usually do. We had plans to visit a few specialty stores in Hyattsville, MD to hunt for new staging supplies (multiple listings are in the works) and decided to just pick a place nearby. Shagga is an Ethiopian restaurant serving up the most flavorful and colorful dishes. It's rather unassuming from the outside, sitting right on busy Baltimore Avenue, but the interior is cozy with just a few tables, colorful artwork and mouthwatering aromas.
