It does need to be charming, practical, loaded with character, and have a little bit of land for some significant gardening.      Take a look at this video showing how bountiful a garden can be in a very small area. Connecting with the land  Walkability is important. Close to a farmers market, shopping, with little dependence on a car. An open floor plan with an excellent workable kitchen for daily meal preparation and storage. Thankful in Baltimore   Last year on Thanksgiving Day, I ratified the contract on a special home in Ellicott City. This year I think it may be happening again. The buyers wanted to come back with a family member before they left town for the holiday. Being Thanksgiving, they were embarrassed to even ask. I was pleased to accommodate since our dinner was not until the evening.  Their concern... someone else might make an offer before they returned. We met for that one last look around the house and the decision was made. Write it up. Within the hour the contract was written, emailed to the buyer and signed.Since my seller was having an early Thanksgiving dinner, there was not enough time today and we will be meeting tomorrow.
