Arundel Mills Mall is a very popular and well known shopping destination in Hanover, MD, right off the 295. It gets a little too crowded for my taste on the weekends but that's not surprising because of its location and great mix of retail/ factory stores, restaurants and entertainment options. Its popularity reached new heights recently due to the addition of the Maryland Live! Casino which also drew a number of new restaurants: Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Cheesecake Factory and Joe's Crab Shack, to name a few.   What is not very well known, however, are the military discounts offered at several stores at Arundel Mills - in addition to already low Factory Store prices. I am a Main Street USA kinda girl and that's where I prefer to shop. It's personal, unique and enjoyable. However, there are some things that just cannot be had on Main Street and an occasional trip to the Mall is in order. When I have to, I like to go to Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover, MD because of its mix of retail and outlet stores, some of which also offer a much appreciated Military Discount. There's is just one major drawback to shopping at Arundel Mills - it's mayhem on the weekends. Everybody and their aunt shops there. One has to circle the parking lot to score a spot and is being stalked on their way out. Maryland's Largest Rooftop Solar Power Installation Unveiled in Hanover Office products company Staples (NASDAQ: SPLS) hosted a dedication ceremony last week to unveil the largest single rooftop solar power installation in Maryland at Staples' 200,200 square foot fulfillment center in Hanover. I wrote a post last week about my euphoria of finding the local gas station selling gas for my gas guzzler at a mere $2.99 per gallon. What a treat that was. Today I could hardly contain myself when I passed the Exon Mobil station at the Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover, Maryland and the posted price was only $2.59 per gallon. Even better was that I only had a smidge over a quarter of a tank. It cost me less than $50 to fill up my vehicle.
