Cleaning An Egged Car 11/07/11   Every now and then cars in our neighborhood have been egged.  So, many have asked how to remove the eggs. Ted Blitgen provided these tips for his Kentlands neighbors A solution for removing the egg:If you've ever been victimized by neighborhood pranksters or vandalism, you've likely had your car egged. While discovering an egged car is nerve racking, trying to remove the egg and yolk creates further irritation. The key is to remove the egg stain shortly after the incident. However, if the egging occurred overnight, or while you were out of town, the yolk will crust, making removal twice and hard. Here are a few tips for removing egg from cars, without ruining the paint. Step 1: If possible, do not allow the egg to sit on the car for an extended period, e...

I met this furry neighbor on my Sunday afternoon walk through Kentlands. Life is good in Maryland. Please share your photographs in the comments for this post. Perhaps, you might have images of other good reasons to fatten up in the fall. Photograph by Roy Kelley using a Canon PowerShot G11 camera. Roy and Dolores Kelley Photographs

What is your favorite autumn color? I just returned from a long walk through the Kentlands community in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  The leaves are brilliant with their fall colors. It is hard for me to select a favorite color. The Dahlias are still blooming even though we had snow last weekend. Life is good! Please share your favorite autumn photographs in the comments for this post. White Chrysanthemums in Maryland Autumn is a time to enjoy beautiful flowers in Maryland.  Chrysanthemums are among our favorites. The kinds of Chrysanthemums that most of of us have in our gardens are not what you will see when you attend the shows conducted by the outstanding gardeners in the region.  These pictures are a couple of examples from the recent show at Brookside Gardens. Life is good in Maryland and we are very thankful that we have such beautiful blooms to enjoy. Please share your favorite photographs in the comments for this post.
