Harford County Maryland: Non-BRAC Jobs Available There has been rapid growth in Harford County Maryland, which has primarily been fueled by the military's Base Relocation and Closure (BRAC) initiative. This has brought over a hundred employers into the county along with thousands of jobs.  Many of these jobs are high technology jobs and many of these employers are still hiring. But along with this influx of employers, jobs, and people comes the need for businesses to support all of these people. In Edgewood, there are over 1,000 jobs which will need to be filled by the fall.  These are mostly warehouse jobs with Kohls and Wegmans. Regarding Wegmans, they are opening a new store in Bel Air, which is currently looking for new employees.  They are looking to fill entry level management, cu...

Seeing is Believing Lanette Branch - RE/MAX 1st Advantage Bel Air, MD   They say a picture is worth a thousand words and I concur.   If I tell you how great my seller's home is, I just might pique your interest to find out more.  However, if I show you how great that same home is...well, um...the possibilities are endless.    It's really all in the presentation, folks.  It's the showing, the physical evidence of something quite fantastic.  It's the kind of marketing that sets one listing agent apart from the rest. What I am outlining here is the listing agent who knows the value of putting some dollars behind a marketing effort that has been proven to pay off in the end.**                                                                                                                    ...

The world of pests is wonderful and mysterious and for many it is scary. This combination has given birth to many myths. Some myths were born out of fear, some out of misunderstanding, and some out of a desire to protect the pests themselves. Understanding pests, their environments, and their habits are keys to unraveling the myths associated with them. In this article we will discuss several common myths and rumors associated with pests in and around Maryland.     Bats will get caught in your hair - False   I think that this one owes its origins to the 1931 film Dracula. In it, Count Dracula becomes a bat and visits Mina in her bedroom. As the count is flying around the room, Jonathan Harker exclaims, "Look out, he'll get in your hair!"   Bats use echolocation at night to find small in...

"Life's too short to clean your own home." I remember reading this on a marketing piece for a housecleaning service and it just popped into my head as I recalled a recent experience...   "Life's too short to clean your own home." REALLY?       Had a showing last night and was not at all amused.   Still trying to figure out exactly what happened.   First of all, it was only after a week's span of 4 different attempts at appointments that I was able to gain entry into the property.  Called the showing service.  Declined several times. Called the listing agent. Ignored several times.  Granted, I needed showing times outside the normal range to accommodate my hard-working buyers' schedules but, beyond that, I finally got an appointment confirmation from the sellers via Centralized Showings....
