New Construction Begins in Bel Air, MD March 2014 Finally, the eye sore on the corner of Tollgate Rd and Rt 1 in Bel Air is under construction. I cannot tell you how many times I have looked at the run down old Shell Station spot and thought I hope a Dunkin Donut goes in. Like many in Harford County who travel on Rt 1 routinely, I have hoping that the prime real estate lot would blossom into something we call all appreciate. I just read in the Baltimore Sun that the corner is finally turning into something that will supposedly work well next to Silver Spring Mining Company.
