HUD: Molly Might As Well Be A Robot A got a call the other day from Molly.  Molly works at one of the companies that manages HUD property sales. She tells me that my client's request for an extension was denied because it did not include the $150 extension fee and asks what does he want to do. I tell her that we requested a waiver of the fee, because my client was ready to settle, but HUD was not ready. She says that the $150 extension fee must be paid. I ask why does it need to be paid. She says it needs to be paid or my client will lose his earnest money deposit. Again, I ask why this would be, since he is ready to settle.  His money is sitting in an escrow account with the title company.  The closing package has been sent to HUD.  All that is needed is for HUD to sign it. She says th... 04/15/2017
