Valcourt was successful in getting his name on the ballot, but unsuccessful in his bid for re-election, finishing last in a three-way race for two three-year seats on the board. Antone C. Viera Jr. was the top vote-getter in that race, with 1,949 votes. Incumbent Steven J. Ouellette's 1,684 votes were enough to get him re-elected. Valcourt initially was ruled ineligible to be on the ballot by Town Clerk Marlene Samson, who ruled he did not submit certified nomination papers to her office by the March 8 deadline.
