Sharon High School Theatre Company Presents Shrek the Musical I can't wait to see the Sharon High School Theatre Company production of "Shrek the Musical"! This theatre company's performances are always amazing! Rehearsals started on the first day of school with rehearsals 4 to 5 days a week for 2 1/2 to 3 hours a day. Students are involved in every aspect from acting, choreography, singing and dancing, set design and construction, lighting, sound, costumes and props, publicity, hair, makeup and much more. The 35th Annual Halloween Parade was a big success in Sharon MA! And, what a gorgeous day we had, too! Blue skies, lots of sun and mild temperatures. A perfect day to put on your Halloween costume and march in the parade. Congratulations to The Sharon Recreation Department, directed by Amanda Levasseur, for organizing a wonderful parade and celebration! There was a huge crowd of children and parents who gathered at the Sharon Town Hall at 3:30 p.m. A big "thank you" to the Sharon Police Department who escorted parade participants up South Main Street to the center of town, around to Pond Street then to East Chestnut Street and back to the Town Hall. The Sharon High School Ultimate Frisbee Club hosted the 2nd Annual Spirit of the Game tournament on Sunday, Oct. 27. Led by Coach David Christiansen and Assistant Coaches Mike Dussault, James Acone and  Brad Powell, the tournament caps off the fall club season. Twelve teams competed, not to see who would be the high scorer, but just to put their efforts into good sportsmanship and acknowledge the individual players who demonstrated the most spirit. One individual from each team was chosen by opposing teams to represent the most "spirited" individual. The 48th Annual Sharon Five Mile Road Race will be held this Sunday, June 30. 2013 in Sharon MA! You can still register online until midnight tonight, June 26 or download and print the day-of-the-race registration form to bring on Sunday. Registration on Sunday, June 30th starts at 8:00 a.m. at Memorial Beach Park on Beach Street, Sharon MA.
