Take the Polar Plunge for Special Olympic Athletes I'm shivering just thinking about the 3rd Annual Polar Plunge this Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Lake Massapoag in Sharon MA! You can be a "Below Zero Hero" and take the Polar Plunge or be an enthusiastic supporter! Each "Plunger" commits to raising a minimum of $100, or $75 for students and Special Olympic athletes. Official Polar Plunge, long-sleeve t-shirts will be given to all those who raise their minimum fundraising amount. (No, they're not insulated!) Every dollar goes directly to support year-round sports training and competition programs for the more than 11,000 Special Olympics athletes from Massachusetts. Adult Summer Reading Book Bingo Card from Sharon Public LibraryHave you heard about the Adult Summer Reading Book Bingo Card from Sharon Public Library?I think this is such a fun idea! When I was a kid, there was a program at the Sharon Public Library where you earned a sticker for each book you read over the summer. Mrs Bell was the librarian at that time! I have no memory of any prizes, but I do remember the thrill of adding another sticker!
