Take a sad song and make it better is a line from the Beatles classic, Hey Jude.  In real estate you are constantly given sad songs and you have a choice. You can take a sad song and make it better, or you can start blaming someone else and pointing the finger.  Good to great agents never point the finger and will always look to make any sad song better.  For instance I just closed on a home with clients where everyone at the table was happy.  There were Seller  shared stories of the house construction, the quirks of the property shared with the Buyer.  On the Buyer's side they shared that although they had never met the Sellers and had not lived in the town for some 20 years that the Buyer's sister was a friend of the Seller's daughter.  Once these connections were made at the table al...

A Mendon MA home buyer should receive a brochure, Home Inspectors Facts for Consumers Sheet, at the time of the signing of the first written contract to purchase.A standard home inspection in Massachusetts is a visual examination of the physical structure and major interior systems of a residential building consisting of one to four dwelling units. It should be understood that there are certain risks inherent in the purchase of property and a home inspection is inherently limited in its scope and depth. The information gained from home inspection conforming to the Massachusetts Home Inspector Standards of Practice may reduce some of those risks, but the home inspection is not intended to provide the client with protection from all of the risks involved. 365 Things to do in Worcester County - see the animals at Southwick zoo in Mendon.  I love the Zoo!  I can not think of anything more fun than to go to the zoo and watch all the animals, whether bears or lions or elephants, oh my.  And today, I am so excited to bring you the suggestion of going to the Southwick zoo in Mendon.  No, it's not the largest zoo, but it is a zoo in our Worcester County. Southwick's zoo is home to hundreds of animals from around the world.  There are pony rides, camel rides and moonbounce.  There is even a skyfari sky ride.  And best of all, adult tickets are still under $20.00.  With the price of family entertainment these days, just look at 6 flags tickets, this is a great deal. I want to also mention that on July 17, 2011, there is a program on baby animals....

While out running some errands today my wife and I stopped at the Miss Mendon Diner in Mendon, Ma. What a great little place that serves breakfast all day and also has a lunch and dinner menu. I had a BLT with chips and my wife had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap....both were delicious and hit the spot just right. If you are in the area this is one place I recommend you try for a quick bite with reasonable prices and very CLEAN. Here is a link to their website  www.missmendondiner.com/   that tells all about it and list the menu with all its choices and specials....We both thoroughly enjoyed our quick lunch at the Miss Mendon Diner In The Little Town Of Mendon, Ma.

This morning was spent at Imperial Chrysler in the little town of Mendon MA having my ten year old Jeep serviced.  So, while I was waiting, I thought I'd share some photos of this incredible facility with everyone.  The dealership continues to expand and what was once Chrysler and Jeep is now also Imperial Ford.  The interior is one theme after another, and the show room in spectacular.  The Blues Brothers, Southwick Animal Farm and several other unique treasures adorn this show room.  Of course, the new cars and trucks are another great feature.  The vehicles that are being serviced are in full view for everyone to see.  There is a snack bar and a big screen t.v. along with wifi for those waiting. Chrysler Imperial is located on Rte 16 in Mendon, MA.  Stop by if you're in that area and...

This is going to be fun, Southwick's Zoois one of my FAVORITE places to go each year!  Located in Mendon, MA, Southwick's Zoois New England's LARGEST zoo adventure.  Looking back into history, the zoo started over 200 years ago in 1803 as a working farm with dairy cows.  It is independently owned, not local or federally funded in any way.  The zoo is home to over 500 wild animals featuring over 100 varied species.  We try to go as a family tradition each year on either Mother's Day or Father's day since the mom or dad gets in free on that day.  This year we got rained out on Father's Day, but we're planning on visiting the zoo tomorrow.  There is so much to love about this zoo.  Parking is free, you are permitted to bring your own lunches into the park or there is plenty of food you can...

Blueberry Estates in Mendon Massachusetts is one of the best younger neighborhoods in town. The streets in this terrific Mendon subdivision include Blueberry Drive, Vincent Road, Nelson Court, and Cranberry Drive. Blueberry Estates is one of the largest neighborhoods in Mendon. Most of the subdivision was built in the late 1990's into the 1st part of the early 2000's. When I think of Blueberry Estates the picture of a top flight neighborhood comes to mind. This is a neighborhood that those looking to live in an upscale Mendon home would consider at the top of their list. Blueberry Estates offers quite a variety of housing styles, as there were more than a few builders that constructed the homes. The majority of the lots were sold off by the developers to some  excellent builders in the ...

Talbott Farms in Mendon Massachusetts is without a doubt the premiere address in Mendon. In fact when I think about Mendon Real Estate the 1st neighborhood that comes to mind is Talbott Farms. The Streets in this upscale neighborhood include Talbott Farms Drive and Parker Road. Even though Talbott Farms was former farmland one of the 1st things you will notice is the mature landscape, granite curbing and beautifully manicured lawns. There are 30 home sites in this neighborhood and it would be hard to find a bad lot. The homes themselves are exceptional. The builders attention to detail was certainly evident. You will not see your typical "cookie cutter" homes in this Mendon neighborhood. What you will find are custom crafted homes each with their own distinctive personality.            ...
