For the upcoming fiscal year 2010, the Hopkinton town management team, volunteer, elected, and professional, has done a phenomenal job of maintaining the high level of services we've come to expect without increasing property taxes.  This short video clip below features Brian Herr (Chair--Board of Selectman) and Nancy Burdick (Chair--Hopkinton School Committee) discussing the intensive and successful collaboration amongst volunteer boards and professionals in town.  This process has resulted in a budget which leaves: our schools fully supported, police and fire fully supported, and no lay-offs on the horizon. They managed this by capitalizing on opportunities to reduce cost model by combining facilities departments and by combining information technology departments in town. Nancy Burdi...

RE/MAX Executive Realty sponsored the HEF annual "golf ball drop". The event was held at the athletic field behind Hopkinton High School. There were tons of kids lining up for Balloon rides as well as cotton candy, popcorn and the Mix98.5 icecream van. The event raised money by selling chances of a numbered golfball for $10. when all the balls are dropped from the balloon, the one  in the hole wins $1,000. Last night there were actually 2 balls in the cuo, so they split -$500. each. There was also a prize of $100. for -furthest from the cup. It was an awesome evening and everyone had a great time!

Recently our local independent newspaper, appropriately named The Hopkinton Independent, ran an article about our homegrown Hopkinton Firm. Highlights were: with no franchise fees to cough up to far away corporate owners, we can use those dollars to better market our listings with intensive staging, professionally drawn floor plans, full motion video tours, neighborhood tours, and more; we've expressed our gratitude for our success by giving over $30,000 back to community causes Some causes we've been able to support include the Hopkinton Education Foundation, Project Just Because, the Hopkinton Parent Teacher Association, Hopkinton Little League, Hopkinton Lacrosse, Hopkinton Women's Club, and others. Here is the article as it appeared in the paper: Hopkinton’s own celebrates five yea...

Alprilla Farm Road is a stand alone neighborhood of about 30 homes in one of the more rural-flavored areas of Hopkinton where the loudest evening noise is the chirp of the peepers in the spring and summer. The feel is all New England with reproduction Colonials and Cape-style homes. It is close to Route 135 and the commuter rail station to Boston, and just a short bike ride to the Ashland State Park and Reservoir.   Alprilla Farm   5 Alprilla Farm Road is currently on the market for $579,900.

How proud the parents must have been to watch their daughter, now a young lady poised and confident, stand and greet the audience she'd assembled.  Hopkinton High-schooler Maureen Regan welcomed us to the première of her short film Hiking Trails of Hopkinton at the High School auditorium on Thursday, April 2, her passion and authenticity were self-evident. In this film which Regan produced and directed, the natural beauty of Hopkinton is highlighted, as is the type of citizen the town is capable of forming.  Both contribute to the draw of Hopkinton as a place to live, recreate, educate children, and raise a family. Congratulations Maureen on an informative and inspiring film about some of Hopkinton's best kept secrets!

On this sunny early spring saturday morning the community came together to clean up the parks and get ready for another summer season. lots of kids and parents showed up to help rake, pick up and spruce up. They all pitched in and worked and had some good laughs along the way.

I wouldn't presume to tell people how to hire an agent since I am an agent.  How would people know I'm not simply giving out the information that would put me in the best light?  Fortunately some other folks have made some videos on the subject.   And here's a slightly different perspective:   If you'd like to interview me to sell your home in or around Hopkinton, MA, please call me at 508-259-9411.
