Passing by Lake Whitehall in Hopkinton last Thursday, I had to stop and take this shot. It was late in the day and was one of our last warm days of the season.  The temperature was in the 60's.  And, I am fondly thinking of that now...  Lake Whitehall State Park consists almost completely of water and very little park.  The lake was once used as a source of local drinking water and is now a little bit of paradise for the small boater and fisherman.  There is a nice little boat ramp on the Route 135 end of the lake and some restrictions that keep this a very quiet spot.  Since boaters can only launch something as small as a canoe this completely cuts out any chance of noise or huge wakes from power boats.   The watercraft speed on the lake is limited to 12 MPH and there are no jet skis a...
