This morning, just as every morning, I listened to my favorite radio station WROR, and they announced that there was a new bill that our local government passed that states the following: all children will be required to take a course to learn how to pronounce the letter “R.”  I was outraged.  Imagine passing a bill that attempts to change our Massachusetts accent to sound like other people!!  We have a distinct accent, and I love it.  Others laugh at it, but the thought of sounding our “R’s” is not reasonable. Be sure that you do not overlook the following during your final walk-through just before you close on your new home.  The safest method is to bring a copy of your Purchase & Sale Agreement for verification of agreed upon items–working from memory is never advisable.
