Are you looking to lose weight in Baton Rouge. Don't feel bad if you have a few extra pounds you are hanging on to. There are many avenues to take in Baton Rouge when trying to lose weight. There are many companies that offer weigh loss treatment and maintenance. The Wrap Retreat: This is my favorite. I have been going to The Wrap Retreat for years. I first decided to go when I learned I was going to be in a wedding. Getting wrapped, I was able to get into my dress right before the wedding. At the Wrap Retreat, you will lose 10-30 inches your first visit. It's NOT a water wrap. This isn't about losing water weight. It's actually all about a certain mineral that shrinks your fat cells and puts them closer together. If you lose inches from the wrap, it will last to 8 weeks but if you are ...

Baton Rouge Home Value Today's video tip is about Baton Rouge Home Value, I talk about how I developed a business relationship early in my career with Bill Cobb and learned a lot about how the appraisal process works. Often people think that if they spent x amount of dollars on upgrades they should recover every dollar when they want to sell. And unfortunately it usually doesn't work that way. Check out the video at http://www.BatonRougeRealEstateInformation.com along with many other video tips, and Baton Rouge Real Estate Listings.

6021 Huckleberry Court The tall oak trees in this yard on a quiet cul-de-sac in the Lake at White Oak provide the house with cool shade and protection from the afternoon sun and a garden for shade-tolerant varieties of plants.  The garden in the front yard is full of hostas, ferns, and ivy that provide a green background for flowering plants like begonias, petunias, agapanthus, and indigo.  There is a daylily garden along the side of the house that was in full bloom a few weeks ago when the judges toured the neighborhood for an award-winning yard.  A huge multi-colored lantana surrounds the mailbox.  A few garden statues like the little bunny hiding in the liriope and a squirrel sitting on the side of a birdbath add interesting focal points.  The house itself is typical of the bea...

Wow, it's finally here. I'm sure you have seen in different magazines certain kinds of gas labeled with a picture of corn. Well, Sullivan Oil Company is offering E85. What is E85? It's a cleaner, biodegradable, high octane fuel that reduces dependence on foreign oil. E85 Stations There are nearly 1200 Gas Stations in the United States where you can fill up on  E85 ethanol fuel. The number of stations offering E85 is expected to double in a little over a year as service stations are being offered incentives from Government and Ethanol Industry grants up to $30,000 to install E85 Fuel pumps. THIS WILL BE BATON ROUGE'S FIRST SOURCE OF E85! Take advantage of it! So, How Much Is This E85? The National average price of E85 was $2.89 in April ,53 cents less per gallon than unleaded gasoline.Ei...

Money Magazine just released the top ten fastest growing real estate markets in the nation and Baton Rouge ranks 9th.   10 Fastest-Growing Real Estate Markets by Money StaffTuesday, May 13, 2008provided by Yes, even amid the housing crisis, parts of the U.S. are still expected to post price gains in the coming year, according to Money Magazine. Here's where to look. The housing implosion is nowhere near over. In 75 of the 100 top U.S. cities, prices are expected to fall in the next 12 months according to Fiserv Lending Solutions. The S&P Case/Shiller Home Price Index, which tracks 20 of the largest housing markets, showed prices plummeting by 12.7% in the 12 months ending February. That's the biggest fall since the index began tracking prices in 2000. Meanwhile, foreclosure filings more...

People do it all the time. "Oh, it's just a ciggerette" or "Oh, it's just a cup". If everyone says, "Oh, it's just", then we will have Baton Rouge looking like trash land. Please don't litter in Baton Rouge or in our beautiful state. If you are driving in your car, get yourself a personal trash can to put in your vehicle or times when you need to throw away unwanted items. In Louisiana, anything that you throw out of the window and ends up on the ground, it's considered littering. Louisiana says even if you have something in the bed of your truck and it flies out, you are still responsible, crazy uh? So, make sure everything is tied down in the bed of your truck. If something flies out then you better make sure that you turn around and go get it. Did you know that in 2004, clean-up crew...

Did you know that Baton Rouge has one of the most innovative curbside recycling programs in the country?  It is true, we do!  If you are a resident or business in the East Baton Rouge parish, free weekly curbside recycling is available to you.  All you need to do is contact the City Parish and request a recycling cart.  You can visit the website and get more info here. Another unique service offered in our area is RedStick FreeCycle.  Essentially RedStick Freecycle is community of Baton Rouge citizens who post items of all types that are given for free.  Their goal is to reduce waste by connecting people who would otherwise throw away unwanted items with others seeking those same items.  Pretty neat concept. If you have an old computer or office machinery that you no longer you can conta...

Baton Rouge Real Estate Inspection One of the most important pieces to the home buying puzzle is getting your Baton Rouge Real Estate Inspection. There are two main types of home inspections that I want to point out to you. The mechanical inspection, which is the most basic and would be adequate for a newer home or one that was maintained and is near perfect this usually runs about $100. Then there is the full inspection that comes with a extremely detailed report and covers just about ever inch of the home. this report will set you back between $200 & $500 I posted a new video that you can watch and get more details about your home inspection at http://batonrougerealestatevideotips.com/ All the best,Tony Zito

Going to a second hand store is like going to Disney World to me. Baton Rouge has some really great children, second hand boutiques. Many of these stores contain upscale children's clothing like: Gymboree, Gap, Children's Place, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, My Vintage Baby, Lipstik and more. While some of these second hand stores require you to 'dig' through to get to the good stuff, most of them only offer the good stuff.   This is my favorite Baton Rouge consignment store. I found this wonderful place right after I had my son. They offer nothing but the best. Most of their clothes look as if they haven't even been worn. The owner is also extremely nice and very helpful. The Refinery is located off of Sherwood by the Aveda Institute, right next door to Baskin Robins. You can also fin...
