After lots of patience and waiting, we finally got this home closed as a short sale. As you may know, a "short sale" is anything but short, in terms of a timeline. It's when the bank or mortgage holder takes a "short" on what is owed to pay off the balance. The seller ended up getting 9 offers over a 9 month period, but some patient buyers were the ones that really won! The house next door sold for $30K more than what these buyers paid for this house... just about 9 months earlier. WOW!
