History of a Painting - "Dog'n Mug".   Acrylic Painting by Larry Johnston©  There was a "Dog & Suds" Root Beer Drive-in, complete with car hops and great Root Beer located on Hwy 20 on the north side of Mishwaka.  Eventually, the drive-in closed and sat empty until a young couple decided to revive it. The new name was "Dog'n Mug". While exhibiting at an Art & Craft festival in Nappanee, IN, I was approached by the couple after seeing some of my other paintings.  They commissioned me to paint their new restaurant with their two cars in the painting. My Last Gingerbread Boy of the Year, Devon!   Devon goes to preschool and what usually happens in School is when one child gets sick they pass it around.  When my Gingerbread House Decorating Party was scheduled on Saturday December 14, 2013, Devon was sick.  Again. He got sick then passed it on to his parents and they gave it back to him...All are now healthy and today Devon got to decorate his Gingerbread House!            The icing in his squeeze bottle was a little thick and he had a tough time squeezing out the royal icing "glue" as he called it.  As hard as he tried he couldn't get it out so he graciously accepted the help of his Mom, but just for glueing. . .she could NOT put any candy on his gingerbread house.            When Mommy got tired of glueing Dad took over.  Devon was ... 12/22/2013
