  The chart below shows that the number of homes sold is up compared to last year! Thats great news! Not so great news is the average home price is down about 6.5%. Average days on the market (time it takes to sell a home) is up to 123 days compared to last year of 89 days. This means it is very important to price you home correctly from the start if you want you home to sell in a average amount of time. If you don't it could end up sitting on the market for a very long time! Yorkville Real Estate Market Trends:January Market ConditionsDetached Style Single-Family Homes The median price of homes on the market in Yorkville jumped sharply in the month of January, going from $339,900 in December to $354,900 in January. At the same time, the average sales price of homes in Yorkville fell significantly from $312,500 to $276,670 in January. Unlike many other Fox Valley communities, the number of homes on the market continued to drop in January, from 379 units to 368. During that time, the number of homes sold also dropped - quite significantly from 24 to 18.
