Real Estate Market Update for St Charles, ILThe St Charles real estate market favors home buyers this July.  Looking at several key real estate statistics for the month; including current housing inventory, median sales price and supply, the market is definitely favoring buyers.HOUSING INVENTORY Inventory is down 2.5% over last year with 543 homes currently for sale in St Charles.  There's good news here for both buyers and sellers. For home buyers, the inventory is relatively unchanged so as you'll see, home prices have not gone up.  The price you'll pay is the same as last year, though interest rates are on the rise. What a quote!!!!  I hate when someone says...."where have you been?"  Times change and so do people and cirucmstances and situations.  I was all in for my first 800,000 points....being #1 in Illinois for years as well as top 100 nationally through A.R., but then comcast went down.....and I mean DOWN....for 3 months.  What's the rule?  3 weeks to create a new habit?  Some studies say 54 days.  Three months had me covered.  Here I was.....committed, but now to a new habit....and yes, a bad one.  No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get back in.  I wrote and published a book in the meantime, but I was AWOL on AR.  Not cool.So....now that lent is over and it's 1/4th the way through 2015, I feel that it's time for me to leave the life of a cloistered monk behind me. I'm back Active Rain...... 04/07/2015

We've all heard of the law of supply and demand.  Rare things cost more, an overabundance causes prices to drop. The St Charles housing market is still in that sweet spot where demand outweighs supply, making it a great time to sell! There are several factors that go into pricing a home, and more importantly, what a buyer will pay for it. Location Competition Condition Supply & Demand These are just a few of those factors.  Now location, well, you can't really do anything about that.  The condition of your home you can totally control.  Competition as well as supply & demand is a timing issue.
