Palatine Real Estate remains strong for September of 2010!  Year to date 209 Palatine homes have sold and although the sale are down 9.1%, sales prices are up 6.1%.  Great news for sellers in Palatine!  With 272 homes on the market, buyers have their fair share of homes to pick from and still are going to be able to negociate on pricing.  Palatine Townhomes and Condo sales are down 10.6%.  With 367 attached homes currently on the market, Palatine is flooded with units to choose from and in turn buyers have a great negociating tool.  This year 312 attached homes have sold and prices are down 25.6%, many of them have been short sales and foreclosures.  As of right now there are 100 foreclosures and short sales on the market.  We are not seeing as great of a recovery in this area but there...

The inventory of homes in Palatine has many Short Sales and Foreclosures, which has been putting pressure on home prices. There are currently 104 Foreclosures and Short Sales on the market. Palatine Homes Sales have decreased .5% while Palatine Condos and Townhomes Sales have decreased 3.1% from this time last year. The median sale price for Palatine Real Estate detached homes is up 6.9%, while Palatine attached homes prices are down 25.4%. The condo market continues in general to display a slower recovery as there are stricter requirements for qualifying to buy condos in the Northwest Suburbs and there are 402 townhomes and condos currently on the market. This is a great time for buyers in the area, with more inventory to choose from.
