Deer Park Illinois is one of my favorite places. Having lived in Deer Park Illinois for over 6 years; we only left because we relocated to Florida for a year; I don't understand why other real estate professionals label it as Barrington. Well maybe I know why they do it, but I feel it's disrespectful of the beauty that is Deer Park Illinois. If you are not a local let me explain more about Deer Park Illinois and it's association with Barrington. Deer Park is a small village in Lake County Illinois that happens to share the Barrington Illinois zip code of 60010. Why? Why doesn't Deer Park have it's own zip code? The answer is  simple. Deer Park IL Homes - Choose From Single Family or Town Homes. When I lived in Deer Park between 1997 and 2003 there were only single family Deer Park IL homes for sale. That's now changed as there are two small subdivisions of town homes, both close to the Deer Park shopping mall. Because they are two different types of housing the answer to the question, how long will it take to sell my house, can only be answered by seperating the two types and looking at market data for each.   I am so very happy for my buyers who closed their purchase today. It has been a long ordeal and certainly tested their patience. I am just thrilled to see them with keys in hand at last. Finally they can move forward with their city to suburbs relocation.When we first met they had a little boy of two and a newborn. These two little guys are now four and a half and the youngster was three today. Sometimes it does take a long time to find the house you want. A couple days ago...jogging and walking Tucker (our dog) in our neighborhood The Squires in Deer Park, I met one of our very generous neighbors in The Squires.  He has taken on the job of repainting the signs in our neighborhood.  He said he enjoys painting and doesn't mind spending his time and saving the association money.  The Squires is filled with winding roads, trees and small hills.  All the lots are 1 acre or more and the homes are about 2500-3200sf.  Our artist did not want to be photographed so I snuck a photo of a work of art in progress and have included a few more photos of this great neighborhood.
