South Barrington home sales were soaring in 2013 and have been the best in the last 7 years. It's clear luxury home sales have made a recovery but I wonder if 2014 can keep pace. It might be a tall order for what is in essence a small village where homes rarely sell under a hallf million. 2014 for me was time to add something new to my marketing so I decided info-graphics can easily show home buyers and sellers in South Barrington the basics of real estate trends here. This is my very first attempt, I am sure I'll churn out some more advanced reports this way as the year progresses. As you can see we've had increasing sales year by year, average marketing times are down, but sales in the first quarter of 2014 were down a little on 2013. When talking about Barrington luxury homes we are indeed including all the Barrington villages. The majority of the luxury homes are found in Barrington Hills, South Barrington and Inverness. The exception to those would be Wynstone in North Barrington. Wynstone is a gated golf course community. The other Barrington villages have luxury homes but they are more thinly spread. Time flies when you are having fun and here we are looking at September in a few days time and I am very late looking at Barrington sales numbers for July. So let's make this one short and sweet because in a few days I'll be back with August numbers. Barrington Area Homes Sold - July 2013 Looking at all Barrington area real estate, or simply all sales with 60010 as the zip code, the following chart shows sales for both July 2013 and also June 2013 to compare. Simply it seems that detached sales are steady, attached homes, the condos and townhomes are a little more variable. The total sales for each this year is detached homes 335  and attached homes 80.
