A few weeks ago I wrote a blog on if it was agood time to build a home in Nampa Idaho.   After talking to the Builder I have been working with the past several months he mentioned a great loan program here in Nampa that is available to those wanting to build.   I called Zions Bank and they do in fact have an awesome plan...5% down on a Construction Perm loan.   Why is this such a big deal?   Many lenders have Construction Perm Loans currently but they require 20% down payment in order to get the loan.  What the benefit is to getting this type of a loan is that many builders can not get financing right now on thier own....the banks were burned with many builders losing homes in the past few years.    Even if a builder is solvent and  can get financing the banks limit the number of homes ... 02/26/2011

February 23rd  2011 will be the day that the HasBrouck House located in Nampa Idaho will be auctioned off according to a banner on the property!  The HasBrouck house is located at 1403 12th Avenue South...right on the Bend at Roosevelt! Most recently The HasBrouck House was home of the Best of Everything Beauty Salon.   The owner lost the building due to the man she sold it to defaulting on the payments.     Best of Everything closed its doors in 2009!  Previously the Nampa Association of Realtors had their offices in the building! Recently we have been blessed in Nampa Idaho by expansions and remodeling and relocation of 2 different local Thrift Stores in Nampa Idaho.    Savers nearly doubled their space the end of 2010 to accomadate growing customer demand!  They are having a big 50% off sale on February 22....Presidents Day Sale....a lot of items will be on sale all day long!   I have shopped this sale before and can say that it is best to get to the store early or it can get crazy!!!   The sale isn't usually on everything....but it is on clothing and houseward linens!!   Idaho Youth Ranch relocatred their store down  Caldwell Boulevard close to the Corner of Midland and Caldwell Blvd.   They grand opened their store on Fevruary 5th!   Driving by the store on that day showed that many were very excited about th... 02/20/2011

In October I wrote a blog introducing you to  Edna my GPS.   She continues to entertain us...and these past couple of weeks where it seems as if I have been having marathon showings here in the Treasure Valley.....lots of buyers have called and it has been fun....Edna continues to entertain us! Her pronunciation is some thing else.....we have a fairly well traveled road in Nampa Idaho called Ustick.    In this area we pronounce it "you-stick"   but dear Edna calls it "us-stick".  We all got many chuckles as we traveled over that road!   But the one that took the cake for me was when we were going to a subdivision  house in Nampa Idaho on Dragonfly!    Dear Edna called it "Drag-oon-flee"   LOL   Now how hard is it to program a machine to speak correctly!!?!?!? This year I have felt a bit guilty at the great weather we have had!  I know most of you have got hammerd with bad weather this year...we have not!!!   I got back from Illinois where I had surgery and recovery for 5 weeks on January 12th!   Since that time I think we have had a small amount of rain but not snow!    Of course living in the high desert that we do...we only get maybe 12 inches of precipitation per year!    Unlike the per storm many of you get!  The temps have been very mild....and yesterday even got up to 60 degrees....although the Treasure Valley is known for mild banana belt temperatures usually, this was a bit extreme, even for us in February!  But needless to say we have all been enjoying it!!!
