All is well here in my off-grid part of Haiku MauiHawaii just experienced some severe weather in the way of a hurricane that came close to the Big Island - Tropical Storm Lala happened just over a week ago.  Parts of that island were hit with incredible wind and rain, causing a lot of damage.  I don't think it's been this bad in a very long time.  Maui also saw plenty of high winds, causing hundreds of trees to blow down, which then left a lot of power outages in the wake.We were prepared, as well as we could be.  We are pretty much always prepared due to the way our neighborhood is.  North Honokala, Honopou, Ho'olawa, Ulalena Loop, Loomis Rd.  It's an off-grid part of the island, so we don't have any county supplied water services, or electrical grid connection.  We do have the luxury ...
