My personal belief is that the attorneys for the banks are now scrambling trying to adjust their ways in order to further foreclosure auctions in the state of Hawaii. Here is a new link to the new law in the state of Hawaii; for those home owners who really want help this is good news. For those investors and second home owners the news is not so good. Mahalo to the many who had called and wrote over the past week I feel appreciated and admired. I have been consistent and with longevity posting about Maui's foreclosure auctions. Yes I am alright and yes I will continue to provide this information you all look forward to. I took a four day vacation (StayCation) on Maui and went to every beach I could sea, sunrise at Haleakala, slept, played and ate until i felt relieved. Dealing with foreclosures can be a stressful situation for all parties and even just the data reporters such as i. Had some great showings today with a client looking for a property on Maui.  There are some great homes to chose from in the mid $300's up to the high $400k range.  Kehalani has some great resale homes in a few of the neighborhoods.  Many of these homes are REO's and have been stripped of all appliances so depending on the loan, financing may be a problem for some buyers....The inventory seems to be about 2/3rds to 3/4ths short sales and REO's.
