     Everett's Music Barn    For years I lived in Suwanee and never heard anything about Everett's Music Barn.  Then when I began selling new homes in the Stonecypher neighborhood, I kept passing this Red Barn in the back of a local house.  One day I was talking to one of our homeowners and he told me they were closing it because most of the family that lived there and ran it had passed away.  It was so sad to learn about all the great groups that had come there and played Bluegrass music for years.  I lived just over a mile away and had never experienced it.   Not too long after that he told me that several people had gotten together and purchased the property to keep the tradition alive.  There are now shows there on Saturday nights beginning at 8:00 pm and  it is an alcohol free venu... 04/07/2015

What is involved in creating a Seasonal Color Plan for a Community like Rivermoore Park in Suwanee, GA.    The spring seasonal color design for the neighborhood has finally been approved.  There have been numerous emails, meetings and discussions about what to use as the seasonal color for the spring time in RMP.  Until I worked with the landscape committee, I thought the landscape company just got whatever annuals were on sale or trending at the time and planted them.   My husband and I have served on the Landscape Committee for Rivermoore Park for several years now.   Christmas in Rivermoore Park     The tradition of having one tree in our community for the children to decorate began in 2013.  It was one of those ideas that came at the last minute. My husband and I had the thought that this holiday season has become so commercialized.  Our trees are artificial pre-lit and have 20 yards of fancy wired ribbons, ornaments that are over the top and Tree TOPPERS.  What happened to the    popcorn strung by those small hands that were so proud of their handiwork? What happened to the construction paper chains that went on the tree?   Halloween Season Begins at Rivermoore Park in Suwanee   The Halloween displays in Rivermoore Park began going up this past week end.  The main body of the front display is up but there are more features and finishing touches to be added.   The theme is "school days" as it was last year, but this year a Ghoul Haus has been added in addition to the Ghoul Bus and the Ghoul Bus Stop at Dovecote.   All of the displays should be complete by October 13, 2014.   This is a project that we encourage the entire neighborhood to get involved in.  This project was the brain child of my husband Dick Rohovit two years ago.  It has grown and there are so many people to thank who help us each year.         10/08/2014
