No matter how much experience you have had with the process, there's no denying that selling a home is a big step for anyone. Part of the reason why I feel that my job as a Richmond Hill real estate agent is so important is because I get the opportunity to help people through a stressful and major phase of their lives. If I can do anything to make their home sale and move less anxiety-provoking, I will. A good real estate agent will go through the motions, but a GREAT one will have the right balance between optimism and honesty and will do everything that they can to serve your best interest. I feel that I encompass all of these qualities, but I also realize that you might not go with my services.Even if you choose to use someone else for your Richmond Hill real estate transaction, I st...

Richmond Hill, Georgia stands out for the exceptional quality of Southern living and charm found here. Many take advantage of the great coastal location and marvel at the number of things that you can do outdoors. Spring is especially beautiful here and now that the flowers have begun to spring up and the trees have taken to leaf, it’s time to go outside and connect with the nature so abundant in our area. One great outing can be found at the Green Creek Interpretive Trail.  Back in the day (the 1920’s), Henry Ford ordered his work crews to dig the creek to aid in the drainage of lands he purposed for forestry and farming. Today, Instead of a swamp or wood, you’ll find an abundance of birds and wildlife that have adapted to the area taking advantage of all the dirt mounds left behind by...

This is an excerpt quoted from the March 9, 2010 edition of a Barron's article by Steven M. Sears: "At long last, the market for luxury real estate is coming back to life. In Greenwich, Conn., realty brokers say, the final months of 2009 were almost record-setters for sales volume, as two years of pent-up demand was unleashed. Even the megadeal is back. In Beverly Hills, film producer Jeffrey Katzenberg just plunked down $35 million for an 8,700-square-foot home on six acres. There's nothing like a stabilized economy and a huge rebound in stocks to send folks looking for the perfect manse. The return of hefty Wall Street bonuses hasn't hurt, either. Prices are way down-40% off the peak in some locations. Seemingly at or near bottom, they are starting to attract the first wave of bargain...

Set amidst the centuries old Live Oaks, in the Silk Hope neighborhood of The Ford Plantation is a wonderful organic garden...but it is more than that. Executive Chef, Juan Carlos points out it is about an attitude, a commitment and a lifestyle that is inherent in the DNA of The Ford Plantation, its staff and its members. Juan explains that the organic farm is just one (and happens to be the most visible) of many ways in which The Ford Plantation supports the environment, and healthy living. Chef Juan explains that they try not to use chemicals or highly processed foods so they grow their own organic vegetables when seasonable possible. They also raise a few dozen "Silver Lay" chickens which produce about enough eggs to make all the homemade pastas served in the dining venues, as well a...

Recently the Ford Plantation Equestrian center was a hive of a different sort of activity. The arena was completely revamped in an exercise which included the removal of the entire arena surface and sub surface. More modern footing mediums where then used to rebuild the arena to modern world classs equestrian arena standards, simultaneously drainage and irrigation were upgraded. The arena is now ready for the winter season and no doubts the riders and horses will be delighted with the upgrade and we look forward to seeing the dressage, jumping, trail riding and training at the new arena at The Ford Plantation Barn this season.

On Tuesday, October 27th a group of about 30 members of The Ford Plantation had a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes of Championship Golf Course Management and Maintenance Program.  Nelson Caron (Golf Course Superintendant) gave a very professional tour of the golf course and specifically talked about the challenges of irrigation and drainage of a low country golf course, greens keeping (and maintaining putting surface consistency from green to green), daily course maintenance decision making, various breeds of grasses (and their pros and cons), specific challenges currently being addressed at the golf course (greens, drainage and irrigation). Nelson also gave us some tips, which sound simple but I must admit I had it wrong on a few of these pointers. Like how to properly fill in...

This morning about 40-50 people attended the first public meeting is support of the I95 / Belfast Keller Interchange. (Bryan County, Georgia). Steve Croy chaired the meeting and explained that this interchange was extremely valuable as it has a great location on the I95 / only 13 miles from the port of Savannah (one of the busiest ports in the US) and the interchange has a railhead, not to mention the value that it could add to Ft. Stewart Military base for deployments and emergencies. Jimmy Bursed - Bryan County Chair and Commissioner - Noted that of the 8 points required to justify an interchange, we already have 7 checked off. Also that this was not a transport initiative butt and economic development initiative which could bring 10 000 rooftops to Richmond Hill and help with Georgia...

This was a great opportunity for the Keller Williams Realtors from all three of the regional offices to become more familiar with the beautiful properties for sale at The Ford Plantation. This orientation will serve to help them match these properties and The Ford Plantation lifestyle to the needs of future potential buyers. After the tour a wonderful lunch was enjoyed by everyone at The Clubhouse; where the General Manager (Bob Gusella) and his staff did and excellent...

One of the things that I love about being a realtor is the wonderful freedom that you have to control your schedule, spend time with you family and every now and then sneak off in the middle of the day to just plain have some fun! This post falls into that category. For weeks now I have been eagerly anticipating hearing stories that "the shrimp have arrived on the Georgia coast". But alas I have heard nothing! So yesterday I was on my way to preview a beautiful new listing at The Ford Plantation (652 Silk Hope Drive) which happens to be in the exquisite marina. On arrival at the marina I noticed that the tide was exceptionally high and that water from the Ogeechee River was flooding into Lake Clara at a very high rate. Don't be alarmed, this is a good thing. You see when the water from ...
