Canton, GA - Short Sale vs. Foreclosure: Bank of America Strikes Again! I recently lost the opportunity to purchase a house on a short sale with Bank of America in Canton, GA. I had a ratified contract and all the paperwork was submitted to the bank. During the process of waiting, the bank responded a few times with other paperwork that was needed. Things were moving along when suddenly I got a call that the bank had suddenly foreclosed on the property and sold it for ten thousand dollars less than my offer on the courthouse steps! Wow! The bank short sale negotiator had nothing to say other than the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. Oh well, I've got plenty of other opportunities, but this one has me scratching my head. Time to write some more offers. 12/14/2010
