Snow in sunny South Florida? Yep! You read that right! From now until December 31st you can come and have some fun with the nightly snow flurries at Cityplace in downtown West Palm Beach Florida. Each night the flurries being on the hour and last for about 10 minutes each time. Along with the snow falling nightly the fountains dance to Christmas music in the Christmas colors of red and green lighting. The Christmas tree in the center stage of CityPlace is stunning. Sunday morning, earlier than normal get up time, about 5000 people started the Marathon of the Palm Beaches.  The least we could do is be there to hand them their water, Gatoraid and Gu, and make their time a little more interesting and fun. And we did.  Nina and Bill Washawanny had this project to be of service in both Las Vegas and West Palm Beach and bring awareness to raising money for the cure for cancer.  We had a wacky tourist, a cowgirl, several Las Vegas dealers, sexy waitress and showgirl.  It was an entertaining time to watch these very serious runners at mile 13 and again at mile 19 as they accept refreshments from the sexy waitress or the showgirl.  You might say a few got out of their pace a bit.  The wacky tourist was such a hoot too.  All the runners were encouraged from... 12/09/2008

Funny how life works. One day your blogging and the next you're taking listings. It's wonderful to have the confidence and trust of my clients. I know they feel they have picked the right agent. (I did a good job convincing them of that!) On to selling or rather marketing these two Lake Clarke Shores listings . One of the properties has received over 50,000 hits on Realtor.com. Really, you'd think it would be sold, right? NOT! Here in West Palm Beach we've taken a big hit with property prices. I'm putting together a market report so stay tuned. Last Thursday evening I had the pleasure to attend a cocktail reception with the Young Friend's of The Ballet of Florida. It was alovely night and the affair was held out side in the  tropical garden and veranda at the Hibiscus House. I had never been to the Bed and Breakfast before and it was like being in Key West of Caroline street at a bed and breakfast. The two houses were built in 1917 and moved South Rosemary Ave in 1996. The Van Valkenburg Home is one of the best last remaining example in West Palm Beach of frame vernacular architecture.
