Howdy folks, Today was a beautiful day except for the cold temperatures. Blue sky and LOTS of sunshine and great company. Went out to the beach to catch the sunset, left before it was set and then drove over a bridge and had to stop to take some pictures.... probably some of the best Sunset photo's I've taken in the past few months. Pictures are looking down Wiggin's Pass out into the Gulf of Mexico....     My beach buddy....

Hello folks, Went for a "cool" walk on the beach this morning. Nice and sunny day, but the temps were hovering in the low 50's .... which made it a tad cool. The gulf was quite churned up because of the strong winds the past few days. Hopefully this will bring more shells up on the beach, but we will just have to wait and see. Here are a few pics..... First picture is of a guy "paddle surfing" out in the mouth of Wiggin's Pass.. The Jelly Fish below was about the size of a basketball. Looking across the pass to the southern end of Barefoot Beach...     Hope you have enjoyed todays views of paradise !!

Hello folks, Southwest Florida has FINALLY gotten back to normal weather. The high today was in the mid 70s and sunny. I was fortunate to be able to hit the beach twice ... once at 9:30am this morning and then again for sunset tonight. Quite a relief to be able to enjoy the beach wearing shorts & a T-shirt ... which has not been possible for the past two weeks. Both visits to the beach today were at Vanderbilt Beach in Naples, Florida. Here are some views from today.....

Can anyone guess all the issues that is wrong with this picture..... besides the fact that it is 46 degrees in PARADISE this morning and too cold for anyone to be swimming.!!!   Here are some additional pictures for your pleasure. All pics taken this morning on Vanderbilt Beach inside Wiggins Pass State Park. Below is a Horseshoe Crab & Florida Fighting Conch..       I think Mr. Seagull was a tad cold this morning too !! Hope you enjoyed the Views of Paradise !!

Hello Folks, Took one of my weekly strolls down the beach the other day. Decided it was time to check out Vanderbilt Beach which is in Naples as I have not been on this stretch of beach lately. Was quite surprised at the vast number of birds on the beach. Must have been designated "Bird Day" at the beach because they were everywhere. Turned out that a very large school of bait fish had decided to park themselves on a long stretch of beach which was attracting the birds. Here are a few pics of the morning....

Hello Folks, Visited vanderbilt Beach in Naples Florida this morning. Beautiful day and the gulf was quite calm. Arrived at the beach around 9:00am and it was already getting crowded, but understandably so since it was such a gorgeous day. Highlight of the beach walk was the sharks tooth which I found. Teeth like this are actually fossils and are between 5 to 7 MILLION years old !!!!!  ............ Yes .... you read that right .... MILLION. Also say numerous Snooks swimming along the beach feeding on smaller fish. Here are some pics ....   Below is a pic of one of the many Snooks I saw. Can you see him in the water? Below is the walkway getting out to the beach....

One of the benefits of living in South West Florida is the abundance of outstanding restaurants. The majority of my personal favorites are those that offer outdoor eating and have a nice view. One of my favorite restaurants because of their view is "The Turtle Club" located at the Vanderbilt Beach Club. What is so nice about this restaurant besides the good food is that their "outdoor" eating area is directly on Vanderbilt Beach. As you sit there eating your food, you have an awesome view of the Gulf of Mexico and the sunbathers on the beach. From Ft. Myers Beach going South into Naples, there are only a few restaurants which sit directly on the beach and give you awesome views. Next time you are visiting Naples or Ft. Myers, Florida ... I strongly recommend that you make a visit to "T...

Yesterday I had the good fortune to see Terry Watson present at our Board of Realtors Luncheon and he was amazing!  We only had 20 minutes with him but he had everyone in the audience standing at the end!   He was at the end of a very long list of awards for those that participated in committees, GRI Certificates being awarded and new inductees to the Board.   The only reason people were sticking around was because the sponsor was giving away a cruise at the end.  Most times our lunches this is the longest 20 minutes of our our lives - yesterday was different!  He had everyone laughing within the first minute and I am still smiling a day later.Terry really forced us to look at things differently and definately gave us a lot to think about!  What a great boost in motivation for all tha...
