Buena Vista Boulevard will be extended about four miles south to connect State Road 44 to County Road 468, which runs past the Village of Fenney.   The $35.7-million multi-lane road extension will connect the Villages of Southern Oaks, Village of Fenney and other communities south of SR 44 with The Villages.   Details of the proposed state road project were presented Tuesday night to the Sumter County Board of Commissioners.   The project timetable calls for planning development, including a feasibility study, project development and an environmental study to be completed this year. "Above Par for Animals" Golf Ball Drop from REMAX Balloon Big Success Today was the second annual "Above Par for Animals" Golf Ball Drop from the REMAX Balloon, and we are happy to report that it was a big success.  The festivities started this morning at 10 A.M. at George Nahas Chevrolet in The Villages.   The REMAX Balloon was a little late in arriving due to traffic coming from an early morning engagement (who ever heard of a hot air balloon getting stuck in traffic?), but there were plenty of other things going on in the meantime.   During the entire festivities, lunch was being served by our friends at Landmark Mortgage.  That was a warm job on a day like today (85 for the high), but they kept at it the whole time (and did an excellent job too!).  A silent auction was going on all ... 04/05/2014
