Another great day on Lake Tarpon in Tarpon Springs Florida. This is why we love living here along Florida's fabulous Gulf Coast! If it happens to be too windy or cool to take the boat out in the Gulf of Mexico, we have Lake Tarpon as an option. Filled with bass that are begging to be caught, Lake Tarpon also offers two public parks that have boat ramps (Anderson Park on the west side of the lake and Chesnut Park on the east side). Naturally, there are restroom facilities in both parks and you can always dock at the Tarpon Turtle Restaurant for lunch. Lake Tarpon and Tarpon Springs Florida are just two more reasons why I love living here in the Palm Harbor Florida area. Ready to relocate? Sick of the snow and ice? Give me a call today to begin your search for a home down here in paradise!

We were out fishing on Lake Tarpon in Tarpon Springs Florida where it was 77 degrees at 12 noon today. Not bad considering that everyplace north of us (including northern Florida) is expecting either snow or rain and ice today! It should be freezing tonight in northern Florida but I actually got my first sunburn of the year today! We put the boat in at the ramp located at Anderson Park directly on the western shore of Lake Tarpon. While Ronnie was fishing, I was reading the latest issue of Mother Jones. Blue skies, sunshine and the lake was as calm as possible. Only a light wind was blowing gently. This was an absolutely perfect day and why I love living here on our fantastic Gulf Coast! If you are ready for relocation and considering the Tarpon Springs or Palm Harbor Florida area, give...

A.L. Anderson Park on beautiful Lake Tarpon in Tarpon Springs Florida is a fantastic place not only to picnic and talk long walks, but also to launch your boat and enjoy the day. When the winds are blowing a little too much to take the boat out in St Joseph's Sound or the Gulf of Mexico, we have the option to go out on Lake Tarpon for a beautiful day on the boat. Naturally, docking at the Tarpon Turtle for lunch is also an enticing option. The trails meander around the park, along the water's edge. There are so many areas to grill and enjoy a picnic lunch with family and friends. Playgrounds, doggie park and the natural beauty of the Sunshine State await you at A.L. Anderson Park in Tarpon Springs Florida.

Howard Park in Tarpon Springs Florida is indeed a great destination for November sun fun, as you can see from this photo. The causeway from Howard Park that leads out to the island that is the Howard Park beach is a popular destination for early morning walkers and joggers. Once out in the park, you can enjoy scenes like this. These sea grape plants protect the shoreline from erosion during storms. They are also protected plants, as are the sea oats! Tarpon Springs Florida and Howard Park are two great destinations to enjoy yourself down here in the Sunshine State!

The Chameleon Car in Tarpon Springs, FLOn our trek through the jungle of classic cars searching for one we can fall in love with, we visited this one with its very interesting paint job. We asked the seller on the phone prior to heading on safari what color it was; she said brown and green but you really have to see it. She was right.  And, it is brown; or is it green? What a unique car. It's a 1970 Monte Carlo   If you stand in the sun, it is a bright, emerald green.   If you look at the shady side it is brown. If you walk slowly past it, it is brown, then shades to bronze, then bright green.   Brown nose or green nose.       Did we buy it and bring it home? No, but we are checking out a few things about it. My opinion? It doesn't look like a classic, they didn't have paint like that...
