Relay For Life is being held on Saturday April 10, 2010 at 2:00.  It will be at the Satellite High School, Satellite Beach, FL football stadium.  It is an event sponsored by the American Cancer Society to bring communities together in the fight against cancer.  The guests of honor are cancer survivors.  Teams camp out on the field for 18 hours. Each team always has a member on the track, walking or running, moving around the track, as cancer never sleeps. Survivors walk the track and are honored for their strength, courage and determination in overcoming the disease. They are an inspiration to others. The event raises money through different types of fundraising, all in the hopes of finding a cure against cancer.   I just finished reading Ann Haydens Blog today about 10 Safer Driving Tips on how to drive cautiously while there is snow and ice on the ground. # 2 on Ann's list was to Pack emergency supplies in your vehicle:  food, water, blanket, shovel, sand, ice melt. and #3 was  Keep your gas tank at least half full because you never know when you are going to get into a jam. Well, I almost fell out of my shoes the other day when I opened the mailbox.  I couldn't believe my husband was getting an invitiation to his 30 year class reunion at Satellite High School here in Brevard County. We've lived in Melbourne Florida for almost 40 years now. 30 years have passed already?
