Montecito is a planned development in the northern portion of Satellite Beach, FL about a mile south of the Pineda Causeway and about half way between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River Lagoon. This is a very interesting community. Upon inspection this gated subdivision gives a nice first impression. I love the paved brick look driveways, cool lamp lights, amazing clubhouse with pool and workout facility, beach path and Spanish architecture. Let me go straight to some recommendations here: 1. One of our better beachside choices is Cantina Dos Amigos...now known as Little Dos...which is a family owned California style Mexican restaurant located at 1246 N. Hwy A1A in Satellite Beach, FL. This morning I had to meet clients quite early, so I got an even earlier start and had breakfast at the beach. I went and got a bagel and coffee and ate it out on the wooden walkover that protects the dunes at Pelican Point Park in Satellite Beach, FL. We have quite a few unique communities here on the Space Coast and Majorca in Satellite Beach, FL is one of the most interesting. It was built in the mid 1980s and has the look and feel of small waterfront village on the Spanish or Greek countryside...even down to the beautiful views of the water directly across the street (in this case those views are of the Atlantic Ocean instead of the Mediterranean Sea). As someone who grew up in New York and spent much of my youth eating Deli and Pizza, I am always on the lookout for any restaurant that claims to have NY Bagels, NY Pizza, NY Deli, NY Italian food, etc... It seems that claiming you have food from New York will guarantee you at least a few potential clients. Satellite Cinemas is easy to miss...it is located in the corner of a large strip center mall along with a Publix in Satellite Beach, FL If you live beachside...add this place to you search when looking to go to the movies...here are a few reasons: 1. CHEAP prices...tickets for senors, kids, all Military (with ID) and ALL shows before 5pm are only $5...and even night shows are only $6!!!!2. Great location (about 2 miles south of Pineda on A1A3. South Patrick Shores is a small section of homes and light retail located between Satellite Beach and Patrick Air Force Base/the Pineda Causeway. It runs also runs between the ocean and the river. Since the completion of the project that takes the Pineda causeway from the beach all the way to I-95...many buyers are giving this area strong consideration. ...this area has some of the shortest commute times to I-95...this really helps for those looking to live near the beaches but travel to the Cape or Orlando metro area for work. I always hate when a restaurant that has been around for a long time goes away. Most of the time it happens after a change of ownership...which was the case with The Cove. Just before Christmas Neptune Bar & Grill opened in the old Cove location on A1A in Satellite Beach...about half way between Eau Gallie and Pineda Causeways. This place is most definitely a bar and grill...with two areas for live music (one outside on the huge outdoor patio bar...and one inside. The inside bar includes a dance floor, large bar area and tables to enjoy a big game on wide screen or drinks/food. The location (directly on the Atlantic Ocean in Satellite Beach) is amazing for those looking for a little view with their eggs and bacon! Tonight's the Big Beach Bowl rivalry football game between Satellite High School Scorpions and the Cocoa Beach Minutemen. The winning team gets the surfboard.  Let's see if the Satellite Scorpions can hold onto that trophy board for one more year!  The game will be played at Cocoa Beach High at 1500 Minuteman Causeway in Cocoa Beach.
