Real Estate Market Report Sarasota Florida for April 2014     I review in this video the leading real estate market indicators (pending sales, average sales price, average days on market, and average sold price to original list price) for Sarasota Florida for April 2014. The number of new listings in Sarasota in April of 2014 was 1,366. This is down 2.4% from 1,400 in March 2014 and up 11.4% from 1,226 in April 2013. The number of new pendings in April was 1,338. This is down 15.7% from 1,588 in March and down 5.5% from 1,416 in April 2013. The number of closed sales in April was 1,246.     Feeling Whimsical?  The Marietta Museum Of Art & Whimsy Is For You!  Just north of downtown Sarasota on Tamiami Trail is the Marietta Museum of Art & Whimsy, one of the most unusual art museums anywhere.  The museum is the concept of artist and collector Marietta Lee. In November of 2013 Rocky, my mixed lab-ridgeback rescue from the SPCA of Anne Arundel County in Annapolis Maryland, passed away unexpectedly. The void created by the loss of my 11 year old faithful companion did not remain empty for long. I went to a volunteer orientation event in late December at the Humane Society Sarasota County ("HSSC"); after which I became a volunteer dog walker at the shelter.
