With somethings you never know what you had until they are gone. This is sort of like that, but better! When you make the same drive in your community repeatedly the road becomes a permenant fixture in your head. Then one day someone starts to do the dreaded... ROAD WORK! Thanks to our local District 5 politician, George Brummer, Palm-Aire Country Club has been awarded with a city park that could cost upwards of 1 million dollars. Of the 44 parks and recreations centers in Greater Pompano Beach, yet only 4 are found west of I-95. However that number is going to be changing after the Pompano Beach City Commission very recently agreed to begin planning a 5 acre city park right in the center of Palm-Aire. With approximately 15,000 residents, Palm-Aire houses almost one-third of the city's population (and voters) so I think we are entitled to the benefits of a city park. The city is spending $750,000 to buy the 5 acres of ruined tennis courts (thanks to Hurricane Wilma) and intends to revamp the property with new tennis and handball courts as well as either ...

Things have really changed around my office in the past 60 days. Sales are brisk and it seems that we are making multiple offers just about every day. A lot of buyers are coming out of the woodwork to start buying while the prices are so low. It is sort of a no-brainer when you can buy a 1600 sqft 3 bed 2 bath condo for $105,000!  We have selling villas for $220,000 & $250,000 and I just sold a completely remodeled 2 bed 2 bath highrise condo for $132,500. Did you know that the Broward County Youth Fair is opened and hopping? Well if you didn't, you know now. So what are you waiting for? Get going and get to having fun. I know this year I will be making it out this year. The kids know and undersand fairs, so this will be extra fun! Themed Catch a Ride, the 33rd annual fair runs through Nov. 30 at Fort Lauderdale Stadium. Along with traditional festival fare of corn dogs, cotton candy and funnel cake, organizers have added what could become a staple of the fair diet: chocolate-covered fruits. Hello, I have been absent from my blog these past few summer months. Many things have happened since my last post. The most important and consuming is that I got married on July 20th. As you might imagine I was a basket case for the few weeks prior to the big day. There was a lot of planning, coordinating, etc. to be taken care of, especially in the case of a destination wedding. My wife, Lindsey, and I were wed in Santa Fe, New Mexico. A few days after the wedding we left for our Honeymoon in Thailand. Now I could dedicate a whole blog to that trip and the splendors of Thailand but I will not. Let's just say that it is a truly beautiful place. After taking the time to create a summary for the prospect I thought I would share it on the Internet for other prospective buyers. In April of last year, I posted here on my Blog about my visit to Oceanside Pompano Beach Condos and posted pictures that I shot while there (I can't believe it's been more than a year already!).  At the time, Oceanside Pompano Beach was still under construction. Construction of Phase 1 (a 17-story luxury tower with 186 residences) is now complete. Over 65% of the the 186 units were already under Contract before Construction was completed and closings started in April of this year( yes, there are Buyers who are still closing on their Contracts!) I was speaking with one of my clients today about the delay in renting out his property. Like a lot of listings it received a lot of showings and interest when it was just put on the market, but then things seeem to quiet down and that listing kind of goes towards the back of your mind, if you let it.However I have a great relationship with this gentleman and we talk every couple of days to review what is going on.
