Median Sales Price Drops to 16 Month Low Another very interesting week on the front lines in the south Florida real estate market. Of note is a significant increase in foreclosures in Palm Beach County, the continuation of declining inventory levels and interest rates that remain at all time historical lows. Home sales fall to 8 month low in North Palm Beach After what has been an unbelievable spring and summer buying season I was chomping at the bit to pull the final numbers for home sales throughout the region for July. With all the negative news on the economic road map perhaps the best bit of news was the Fed’s announcement that they will try to keep interest rates artificially low for at least 2 more years. Single Family Home Sales in North Palm Beach Show Strength of Market Last month we reported how sales had fallen during May as we transitioned from a very strong spring buying season into the summer months. Yesterday I started off the monthly updates with Hobe Sound and the numbers look excellent for June then followed up with Juno Beach condominium sales which were hardly stellar. As I start up again this morning Jupiter single home sales reported solid growth and now we report the same in North Palm Beach with a 30% jump over May numbers.
