Naples Community Orchestra (NCO) has been awarded two grants as well as a corporate sponsorship. First, the Community Foundation of Collier County (CCFC) will provide the NCO board training in two areas; best board practices and strategic planning. Second, a grant from the Martin and Gustel Morton Foundation, New London, NH is intended to support student education. NCO will use the grant to underwrite the appearance of violinist Isabelle Durenberger, a student at the New England Conservatory of Music. Naples Community Orchestra will host its final concert of the 2021 season on Saturday, April 24, 3:30 p.m. at Moorings Presbyterian Church, 791 Harbour Drive in Naples. The concert will feature Stella Chen, an award winning American violinist and international star. Chen earned the first place prize in the most prestigious violin competition in the world, the International Queen Elisabeth Competition in Belgium 2019.
