This post- my 994th- means more than any others This post- my 994th- means more than any others   In ways it seems so long ago, in others it seems like just yesterday.  But however you see it, the 10-year-old with the chattering teeth with me in the photo at bottom has grown into a beautiful young lady of 18.  Alexis Taylor Ramsey will graduate from Orangewood Christian School (Maitland, FL) at 7:00 pm this evening.   Though I pride myself on being a bit of a wordsmith, I'll never truly be able to describe how special Lexi is and how much she means to me.  From academics to sports (primarily her beloved volleyball), Lexi has excelled at everything she's done- and she's done so through hard work, dedication and determination.  On the volleyball side of things, it's always been a matter o...

Orangewood Christian (Maitland, FL)'s Diane Langmo gets 500th win (HS volleyball) Orangewood's Diane Langmo notched her 500th victory with a win over Trinity Prep in a district semifinal Tuesday. I've known Coach Langmo for 5 years now, as my step-daughter's played for her on both Orangewood teams and YMCA summer league teams. What have I seen from Diane Langmo? A class act. Orangewood Christian (Maitland, FL)'s Diane Langmo gets 500th win (HS volleyball) Coach Diane Langmo is an encourager, an instructor and her teams' biggest supporter and defender. It was great to see her get her 500th match win over Trinity last night. Localism Challenge, Day #19:  2011 Orangewood Community Family Fun Day It's hard to believe it's time for Orangewood's Community Family Fun Day again...
