Longwood, FLorida is my town!    I moved to Longwood in the Spring of 1991.  Longwood is situated in Seminole County, has about 16,000 sleeping residents and 93,000 day time residents. Longwood is 5.6 square miles in size.  Longwood is a short commute to the Atlantic Beaches and Downtown Orlando!  Longwood has it's own police, fire and rescue squads, a major hospital, and is home to many businesses. Central Floridas new SunRail commuter rail stops in Longwood.  In 1990, part of Longwood was accepted in the National Historic Registry. Palermo Vista New Construction Villas in Longwood, FL.   Longwood, as well as most of Seminole County, shares its American Colonial history with the early settlement of Orange, Lake, Brevard, Volusia and Osceola Counties that make up Greater Orlando. I have been a resident of Longwood, FL since 1991 and this is the first parade sponsored by the Longwood Citizens on Patrol ever.  The event was held December 13, 2014 in downtown Longwood.  There were 108 entries who entered the parade.    Those who went enjoyed themselves and saw a variety of local groups and businesses walk the parade route.    Congressman John Mica, Congressman Bob Cortes also joined the festivities.    You can see by the photos, the weather was absolutely beautiful for the parade.  The parade was a big success!   Here come the colors:     The clock is a town center piece in Longwood.  Parade watchers along the route:       For the first time, the parade was lots of fun.  Here is a video posted on youtube:  It's not mine.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCM8D27wHhY...
