Gain in Positive Equity Nationwide Gives Homeowners More To Celebrate

Recently released statistics show that 2.5 million homes saw rises in equity in the sewcond quarter of 2013, as reported by CoreLogic, a leading provider of financial and other data. The current number of homes underwater stands at 7.1 million across the U.S., which is approximately 14.5% of all homes. This is a drop from the 19.7% of underwater homes after the first quarter of the year. In terms of real dollars, negative equity has decreased $148 billion to its current for of $428 billion. This is, of course, still a staggering figure, but the trend continues in the riight direction...down.
