We have a fun comedy night in Indian Harbour Beach (it is the first Saturday of every month). I have some long time Italian-American friends who live close by and we decided to have a fun comedy/dinner night. I told them to choose a restaurant for us to meet at, and surprisingly (since she is without a doubt the best Italian cook in Florida) chose Pizza Vola in Indian Harbour Beach.Pizza Vola is located on the corner of Eau Gallie Blvd and South Patrick next to Publix Grocery Store. The owners bought out another Italain Restaurant, and after some small renovations opened a few months ago. The owner Tony is from Staten Island, NYC and his dad opened the families first Italian Restaurant in Brooklyn in the 1950s. Tucked away in the strip mall that is anchored by Walmart and Winn Dixie where Eau Gallie meets A1a is a little restaurant called Thai Thai Bistro. After working a long day yesterday I stopped in to pick something up for dinner on my way home. This little place was completely empty so I didn't have long to wait for my beef and vegetables in green curry.The aroma on my way home was heavenly. My dinner consisted of white rice with the curry in a separate container. The taste of the green curry was delightful. Unfortunately, that's as far as it went. The vegetables in the curry were all old and wilted with a mealy texture. I love fresh, crisp, snow peas and those in this curry were barely recognizable. They were stringy and simply in-eatable.
