Anclote Gulf Park is in Holiday, Florida and is next to the Anclote Power Plant that is a magnet for Manatees: they come to be warmed by the waters that are spewed out by the plant. On this very cold day in January, we didn't see any Manatees but we did see this Great Blue Heron looking for brunch. He spotted a bait bucket and where is the fisherman? Cautiously he makes his way towards it....   Hmmm, looks promising.....a little closer look! A quick dip in the bucket...... And, he caught a fish. The fisherman, when told by a meddlesome bystander (another fisherman) that the bird was after his bait, said, "Hey, it's cold out and I don't mind sharing." I'm located at 3327 Hoover Dr. in the subdivision of Aloha Gardens in Holiday, FLorida and I have a recently remodeled kitchen with stainless appliances, wood cabinets and counters, and a ceramic tile floor. My living room and dining room are open to each other and have laminate flooring. My master bedroom is spacious, and I have a bonus room that is not included in the "official" square footage.   On September 16, 2009 I wrote about Webbs Superstore in Holiday Florida http://activerain.com/blogsview/1241436/99-cents-store-in-holiday-florida-webb-s-99-cents-superstore   Thank you to Tom for asking if it was still open.   As of June 29, 2010 they have officially closed. Located in Holiday, Florida Webbs Superstore was located at 2607 US Highway 19. They sold salvaged groceries and other goods.   I was a regular for over 8 years so know the reason behind their abrupt and shocking closure.   I spoke to Shannon who was the manager and they closed down on June 29, 2010. Evidently they were not able to get supplies since the manufacturers were selling products overseas at full price. The manufacturers left little choice to the owners of Webbs to close down.
