I met him once at a party, Senator Ted Kennedy, that is.  In hyannisPort.  It was a party for him in the 1980's to mark his 25the year anniversary in the Senate. I was invited by someone who had been actually invited to the party . .   in a way. I recall in my schooldays reading a required short story.  It was called "Beware of the Dog." Summer on Fort Myers Beach means rain storms and thunder and lightning often accompany these storms.  It's actually a good thing, for the storms usually last for only an hour or two, brings down the humidty and greens up the grass and reds, oranges, yellows, whites and purples up the gardens.  The downside:  Summer Storms mean fearful dogs. Our Pooch, Mimi, begins to tremble with just rumble in the distance.  As the storm closes in, she becomes distressed, fearful.  This is a common problem with dogs and so, I did a bit of research and am trying to use different techniques to help her overcome her fear of thunder and lightning.  Welcome to Fort Myers Beach ingenuity! And its legal! Living room/dining room al fresco on the island of Fort Myers Beach.  My fellow residents in Fort Myers Beach never cease to amaze me. If their home is not large enough, they will find a way to add a "room", even under their home. This one is special because you can dine with your family or friends and look at the gulf with your feet almost on the sand. Notice: this living room/dining room is bit more formal with the cubble stones for the flooring. Who knows? perhaps in a year or less they will screen their living room and turn it into an enclosed extra room! She kept her head high, so brave as the ambulance arrived. He had already passed away. Bless him. He went away Sunday July 26 2009. William T. As many of you know I have upgraded my camera from a simple point & shoot to a Nikon with a wide angle lens and some other stuff which allows me to yake great interior shots in low light conditions.  These photos were shot late evening here on Fort Myers Beach.  I then did some basic processing to give them somewhat of a dreamlike quality.   I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed learning about my new system !
