                                                               Friday, May 18th 5:30 PM             Gather your team for the 10th annual bed race along Pineapple Grove. The "hometown, get down" event in Delray Beach, the race is presented by Pineapple Grove Main Street, Inc. and is presided over by Queen Wackona, whose identity is a well-kept secret. The fun activities feature a jubilant parade beginning at 5:30 p.m. with the bed race running from 6-8 p.m. Prizes will then be awarded to the most creative team entry and this is followed by great musical entertainment in the streets. To celebrate the past 10 years, the event committee is inviting all past winners to compete to attempt to regain their titles.  We love Delray!  Delray Beach is located in southern Palm Beach County, directly on the Atlantic Ocean. Delray Beach offers residents & visitors beautiful scenery, a fabulous 2 mile beach, & many shopping, cultural & housing options.  The downtown area of Delray is mainly what this article will refer to.  A number of years go, Atlantic Avenue (the main road to "downtown") had become almost abandoned by local merchants & restaurant in favor of the more suburban areas.  The city took this to heart & completed many beautification & economic incentive projects to bring restaurants & shops back to the downtown area.  It is now a vital part of Delray Beach & brings visitors from quite a distance.  We have dozens of resaurants to choose from & many fine retailers to shop with.  There's a seas...
