Last Friday we`re at a closing that was supposed to take place two weeks ago! Our seller is happy that we`re able to assist the other agent in locating a new lender for the buyer.   The agent seemed not to "take any" interest once it became obvious that she wasn`t dealing with the mortgage. I always believe it`s a conflict of interest to handle the Real Estate transactions and deal with the Mortgage.In this case it appeared to be!   The closing was set to take place at 2PM, the buyers called and told the Title Company they were running late by two hours!   At 4PM we arrive awaiting the buyers, who need an additional 30 minutes. Firefighters in Davie are shinnying down a new pole these days, at the towns first two-story fire station.  Fire Rescue No. 104 was officially opened on March 1, at the dedication ribbon cutting ceremony.The new station is located at 4491 Oaks Road, on the east side of the town, and will serve primarily the business community.  Funds for constructing the facility were approved by voters in a 2--3 Fire Bond Referendum, and it was built on land donated by the Davie Community Redevelopment Agency.  The CRA also provided funds for lighting and paving of the grounds.  the total cost of building the more than fifteen thousand square foot station was $2.4 million.  architects for the project were C3TS. 04/25/2007
