'We Want To Steal Something!' in Cape Canaveral, FL Several days ago, I was at a listing presentation and I had left my phone in the car. When I returned to my car, I noticed that someone from the same phone number had called me twice without leaving a message. I returned the call and introduced myself and asked how could I help them. The response; 'We want to steal something!' I chuckle. I laugh. I knew where this conversation was heading. The caller had gotten my name and number from my listing sign. They were driving around and wanted more information on my listing. I gave them all the details and asked them what they were looking for. They asked if I knew of any listings on the ocean.  Fireworks displays were everywhere here on Florida's Space Coast. This video was taken with my Panasonic HD-TM90 beside Fishlips Restaurant in Port Canaveral. It also features views of the after fireworks party at Grill's and the Port after dark. The stills were captured from the video and "tweaked" a little. This beautiful orange lily just popped open this morning in an old pot whose flowers had long ago died. I don't recall these lilies ever being there, so the seed must have migrated. Maybe it's a sign that something good is going to happen. A "windfall" perhaps? My wife and I went to a recent Friday Fest street party in Cape Canaveral and found these "almost edible" candles. She bought several as gifts. Don't they look delicious!! Manatee Park in Cape Canaveral, Florida recently held a local car show and family day with bounce houses and vendors. It's a great way to take a break and enjoy the sunshine. El Camino SS. This is a sixties Plymouth Fury 3. My Uncle Fred sold me his bare bones 1968 Plymouth Fury 1 for $50 because that's all they would give him for a trade-in. It was "hot" beige and rarely started without coaxing or a jump but it was good enough for a starving musician at the time :-). A perfect Rolls for beach cruisin'. I took these photos last Sunday after showing a listing. It was 2pm and in the 50's. A normally packed beach was almost deserted and it went down to 38* F that night. Fortunately, it didn't last long and we were back in the 70's on Tuesday for Valentine's Day. Not even the tourists were out! These 2 pups had the beach all to themselves. For many years now, Santa has traditionally rode through Cape Canaveral on a Fire Truck throwing Candy and the blasting the "Chipmunks" all over town. I caught him at the Hitching Post Trailer Ranch which has been here since the sixties when the Space Program started to take off. It is a winter home for snowbirds and has many permanant residents. The Fire Fighters do a great job!   Our Christmas Cactus is about 4 years old now, 3 feet across and produces these beautiful flowers year after year. The garden poinsettia is red as well making for a colorful Florida Yuletide.
