This picture was taken at Port Canaveral in Cape Canaveral, FL.  The cruise ships come in to dock here.  The Port is home to the Disney Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Lines. We finally made it back up to 70 degrees again in Cape Canaveral after a nasty cold spell. The weather has not been typical of late and I've had to turn the thermostat up and close the windows, which I hate to do. I like FRESH air! Today I took my camera down to the Banana River and was rewarded with this wonderfully calm reflection at low tide. The Treasure Island Club Condos in Cape Canaveral Florida are located directly off of Highway A1A on Columbia Drive,  just south of the Beach Line or Bennett Causeway. They are just blocks from the beach. And, about 7 minutes from the world famous Cocoa Beach Pier and Ron Jon's Surf Shop. Royal Caribbean, Disney and Carnival Cruise Lines set sail at Port Canaveral, less than 10 minutes away. This exquisite gated community is tucked back into it's own peaceful world. He didn't write it down but this recipe is about as close as I can get to my wife Marla's Grandpa's stuffing. She approves and we both pick at the leftovers for days :-) Grandpa’s Stuffing 1 lb sausage - you can also add the liver if your turkey came with one. 3/4 cup onion, finely chopped (one large) 2 to 6 celery ribs (depending on how much you like celery), finely sliced 1 (16 ounce) can chicken stock or equivalent in cubes. I use Wyler’s cubes because they have no trans fats. 1 (14 to 16 ounce) bag cubed crouton herb stuffing mix 1/4 cup fresh parsley, washed and chopped 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning 1 teaspoon dried sage I have fresh basel in my garden, so I add that as well some black pepper and a little garlic (fresh or ground is OK). It was a rainy day in Cape Canaveral today so I got my photo ops from the garden. I can't believe it will be Christmas soon and these poinsettas are in every store. I'm still getting ready for Turkey Day and making Grandpa's stuffing - TASTY! A Delta 1V heavy lift rocket went up at 5:58 pm and rattled the windows but I couldn't see it through the clouds. Oh well, I'll get pics of that next time. My wife Marla bought this funky yellow ceramic garden gecko. He's just waiting to scare an unsuspecting visitor :-) She went to the Mt. This rag tag flag has probably been on this dock in the Banana River Lagoon in Cape Canaveral since the snowbirds left in April. My guess is that there will be a crisp new flag on that stick as soon as the cold weather hits up north and everyone comes back to Florida for the winter.
