  There's nothing better than a pretty picture!  In spite of the media's incessant coverage of the down market, the savvy buyers and real estate investors are out there buying.  This is a one year graph for the Bonita Springs and Estero Florida areas.  There are really some great deals due to inventory excess - depending upon the neighborhood.  My single family home pick for a great neighborhood deal is:  Village Walk of Bonita Springs, a Divosta Homes Community.  There are exception deals in Grandezzain the neighborhood of Sabal Palm.  Follow up post to: Susan G. Komen - Race for the Cure® - Coconut Point Mall, Bonita Springs, Florida  Well, it's over.  The fat lady sang, so to speak, and the old lady's limpin'.  I ended up running the race without the rest of the Keller Williams Running and Limping Club!This was the inaugural race for the Susan B. Komen foundation in SW Florida at Coconut Point Mall.  The turnout was huge.  Mammoth.  I couldn't find the rest of the runners and limpers that I knew.  I ended up running until I caught one of them with about 1K to go.The race is organized by the Fort Myers Track Club.  They do a great job.  I took a look at some of the times for previous races.  There was a 76 year old man that ran a 5K under 23 minutes!  Holy mole!  I have some work to do.  I am a little disappointed. ... 03/17/2007

Today I attended an appraisal of one of my listings.  It was that little cutie in Bonita Fairways.  The condo complex is really called Rosewood Pointe, but it is next to and confused with another condo complex called Bermuda Links.  People think they're one and the same, even me at first.  I met the appraiser at the home today we spoke a bit about how the Bonita Springs real estate market was.  You know, the usual chit chat.  She has actually been busy.  It's not a deluge, but consistant.  I shared with her that I had activity, too.  She then explained to me that she has a lot of directory listings and a website and most of her work is attributed to those sources.  Then I volunteered that I have a fair amount of web presence and I'm busier than most.  We both agreed we were busy and hea... 03/15/2007

Caution: Shameless beach promotion.  In an effort to quit taking our beautiful beach for granted I made the trek, a whopping 3 miles to the beach to catch the sunset last night.  It's the height of tourist season, so it wasn't as easy as it sounds.  There's only one road to Bonita Beach and I wasn't the only one with this brilliant idea.  My beach of choice is at the south end of Barefoot Beach, the state park with the toroise preserve.  It's a great park with restroom and shower facitilites, a snack bar, kayak and canoe rentals and of course the gopher tortoises are everywhere.  It's a gopher tortoise preserve.  This park is handicap accessible, also, so it's easy to also drag a wagon, stroller and various beach equipment to water's edge.More information about  Bonita Springs beach par... 03/11/2007

Now, you just have to know this isn't a tutorial, it's a rant, right?  Currently, I have a handful of listings in Spring Run at The Brooks in Bonita Springs, Fl.  The owner of one of my fine listings has tenants for the month of February.  There have been a few small items that popped up that needed repaired.  I took care them as they popped up.  The tenants took care of one small detail.  It looks like someone broke the glass to the fire extinguisher near the condo front door.  I guess the home owner association property management company sent someone out and the glass was replaced.A few days ago I received a call regarding the garage door at the condo.  It wasn't working and would only go part way up or down.  The tenants left for the weekend to a seminar in central Florida.  I took ... 02/24/2007

  A couple of years ago I flew from Bonita Springs Florida to Sun City, Arizona and took the SRES - Seniors Real Estate Specialist Course by SAREC.  It was very informative and I learned a lot about marketing to Seniors and products  and services that benefit our aging population of Baby Boomers. Shall we say say I've celebrated my 18th birthday a couple times... I'm not a eligible for AARP, but I've noticed an increasing issue with getting jars and bottles open.  I have actually even called my son to come by to pop a lid on his way to work.  I've dragged my feet a bit, but I think it's time for professional help.   I'm an excellent candidate for an electric jar opener.  In my research I found this little beauty.  It looks very fashionable, but I think it's missing an important feature.... 02/22/2007
