 Barefoot Beach and Bonita Beach Bonita Beach and Barefoot Beach offer access to world class fishing, shelling and sun bathing. There is plenty of public beach parking for both Lee County and Collier County access to the beach.  The free parking can be found along Hickory Blvd. at the handing flags, at Bay Park (the boat ramp beside Big Hickory Restaurant) and after 5:00p.m. at Barefoot Beach Preserve in the community of Barefoot Beach. You do not have to stop at the guard gate of Barefoot Beach during daylight hours.

 What Does The Fox Say? I've been reorganizing some of my quoted photos and found this one. It was Halloween at Everglades Wonder Gardens in Bonita Springs, Florida, I believe.  We were touring the grounds to find wedding venues for my son a while ago.  Everglades Wonder Gardens is open to the public daily as a botanical garden and photography studio for a local artist.  There are still reptiles and alligators plus a little bit of other wildlife on site.  Stop in for a visit if you get a chance.

Hunter's Ridge Golf & Country Club What a treat to be able to live in Hunter's Ridge in Bonita Springs, Florida.  Hunter's Ridge Golf and Country Club community features a Gordon Lewis designed, 18 hole championship golf course which is the crown jewel of the community. The community of began construction in the late 80's. Hunters Ridge offers wide open expanses between homes not found in the newer communities in the area plus, the foliage and trees are mature and the landscaping lush. Imperial Shores Homes – Bonita Beach Here’s the thing about getting a home close to the beach.  The closer one looks toward the water the higher the price of the home.  About a mile away from the beach on either side of Bonita Beach Road is Bonita Shores on the south side and Imperial Shores on the north side. The biggest difference between Imperial Shores and Bonita Shores is the county line.  Imperial Shores is in Lee County and Bonita Shores is in Collier County. Imperial Shores consists of a variety of house style and varies in real estate zoning.  There are single family homes, single family homes on canals with gulf access, homes on the Imperial River and duplex and multi-family properties. Leitner Creek in Bonita Springs Florida One of the favorite things I like doing is showing people the hidden places in Bonita Springs that they wouldn't ordinarily see.  This is a photo I took (auto awesomed by G+) of Leitner Creek.  I've been working at loosening up some lettuce and water hyacinth so that it is paddle-able again.   Today I was able to paddle upstream quite a distance and this is what it looks like. Meet Slumdawg Dillionaire "Dill" is a recylced MinPin who was not adopted by many because of his white "bib" on his chest and white front toes.  I loved him because he was different so I adopted him.  He is one of my besties now and my paddleboard companion. He loves to ride the paddleboard so much that I have to spell the word p-a-d-d-l-e or he'll lose it.  Dill is often the subject of my photos.  This quote was funny to me because as innocent and sincere as he looks in this picture he is on point to try to kill squirrels in the tree about 20 feet away.    He's a squirrel hunter and when that tail is turned sideways like that, something is going to die die die.  He tries but never catches them, however.  It's sort of like the road runner and the coyote, every. single. day. in my back y...
